Dr. Corné Smith graduated from the University of Pretoria. During her time as an associate dentist she had an interest in aesthetic dentistry from the start and gained experience in CAD-CAM and minimally invasive reconstructive techniques since 2006. She did a post graduate diploma in Aesthetic dentistry through the University of Western Cape, and a 2-year diploma in Orthodontics through McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry (USA).
Dr. Corné also has an interest in the business side of dentistry and has grown her own practice from a small start-up to successful multi-disciplinary practice. She is an avid consumer of business books, podcasts and all things entrepreneurial, and is constantly looking for ways to improve the manner in which we do the business of dentistry.
In 2017 Dr Corné co-founded The Bridge Program, with a vision to empower and educate dentists. She believes that The Bridge Program should be a safe and inclusive space where we can share and learn together.
Being a passionate dentist, she has always been involved in several dental associations, and now serves on the Executive Committee of the South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (SAAAD). She is also a member of ITI (International Team on Implantology), South African Academy of Computerised Dentistry (SAACD), SADA (South African Dental Association) and is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa).
